Foxtail Community Farm
Foxtail Community Farm is a place where people can learn,
work and reconnect:
with healthy food, with one another, and with the
natural environment missing from so many people's daily lives.

We invite you to join us for a tour, workshop or volunteer shift. To see
what's planned for this weekend check the calendar on our home page, or
just stop in to read the chalkboard in the red barn.

We would also be happy to customize a tour or workshop for your group.
Descriptions below provide a starting point - please contact us to arrange a
time and discuss details or other inspirations.

* CSA members receive a discount of 20% off prices listed *
Morning Chores

Join us on morning farm rounds to get the farm going for the day.
Meet at the red barn and ride the hay wagon to the back field. We'll
check on plants growing, harvest a bit of what's ready in the field, and
collect eggs from chickens on pasture. Offered Saturdays & Sundays
starting at 9 am. Duration: approximately 1 hour. Wear closed-toed
shoes and clothing that can get a little dirty. All ages welcome with
appropriate supervision. Contact us to reserve.

$7 per person/ $40 per group of 6 or more
Hayrides

Tour the farm property on our old-fashioned tractor-drawn
hay wagon. A fun (and bumpy) activity for any group!
Hayrides depart from the area near the red barn (farm
store). Contact us to arrange a time for your group.
Duration: approximately 20 minutes round trip.

$4 per person/ $30 per group of 8 or more
Homesteading Workshops

Take a step toward self-sufficiency with a farm workshop.
farm activities such as jam-making, beekeeping, organic
pest management, greenhouse cultivation, tractor
maintenance, or poultry care. Check the calendar to see
what's coming up, or contact us to arrange a workshop for
your group tailored to your interests!

Price varies by workshop; group rates available.

If you would like to get down in the dirt to help more
extensively with field work, we welcome extra hands
for an hour or two! Volunteer work usually centers
around one of our core tasks of planting, harvesting,
or weeding (especially weeding!). No experience
required. Check the calendar to see what's already
scheduled for the weekend, or contact us to inquire
about other possibilities. Please dress for work
(closed-toed shoes, clothes that can get dirty, hat &
sunscreen recommended) and bring a water bottle.
